How a live online science class works

Every class follows the same four-step rhythm, so your child learns to think like a scientist and not just recall facts.

  1. Step 1: Start with a question

Each class opens with something your child can notice, such as why a shadow changes length through the day or why ice melts faster in some places.

  2. Step 2: Predict before testing

Your child says what they expect to happen and why. Wrong guesses are useful here, because they show the tutor exactly which idea needs work.

  3. Step 3: Test it

The tutor guides a simple experiment or demonstration, using everyday materials where the topic allows.

  4. Step 4: Explain it back

Your child describes the result in their own words. Because the class is one-to-one, the tutor can correct a misunderstanding on the spot.

Sessions are gamified, but gamified does not mean easy. Each level gets harder, and that is the point of levelling up.

Online science tutoring vs. group classes: what is different for your child?

Many parents compare live one-to-one online science tutoring with group classes and recorded courses. Here is how they usually differ in practice.

Aspect2ndRank live 1:1 classTypical group or recorded course
AttentionThe tutor watches your child's reasoning in real time.Attention is shared across the group; recorded lessons give none.
PaceMoves at your child's speed and revisits ideas that did not land.Set for the average learner in the batch.
QuestionsYour child can ask anything, whenever it comes up.Questions can wait, or go unasked.
School fitMatched to your child's board and grade.Often one general syllabus for everyone.
ContinuityThe same tutor can guide your child over the years. The teacher can change from batch to batch.
