Referral and Scholarship Policy

This policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the 2ndRank Terms and Conditions. Defined terms used here have the meaning given there.

Participation is open to any existing parent or guardian with an active, fully paid enrolment at the time the referral is made and at the time the reward falls due. Employees, Mentors and contractors of Mittal Education, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible for the referral reward.

Refer a family who enrols in a programme of 100 Sessions or more, and you receive USD $100.

All of the following conditions must be met before the reward becomes payable:

• Introduction in advance: You introduce the referred family to us before they register, book a demo, or are contacted by our team. Submit their name and contact details to your Class Manager, or through the referral form on our website.
• New to 2ndRank: The referred family is new to 2ndRank — not an existing or former customer, and not already in conversation with our team at the time of your introduction. Where two people refer the same family, the earliest recorded referral is the one that counts.
• Admission completed: The referred family completes admission: they enrol, and their first payment (or first instalment) is received and cleared.
• Minimum 100 Sessions: The programme they enrol in is for a minimum of 100 Sessions.
• Sessions attended: The referred student completes their first 2 Sessions, and the enrolment has not been cancelled or refunded.
• Active standing: Your own enrolment is active and in good standing — no overdue instalment, no suspension.

There is no limit on the number of families you may refer. Each qualifying referral earns a separate reward.

Transfer charges, intermediary bank fees and currency conversion differences are borne by the recipient. We will ask you to confirm your bank details in writing, and we will verify them with you by phone before any transfer is made.

Course credit has no cash value, cannot later be converted to cash, and is forfeited if your enrolment is terminated for breach under the Terms and Conditions.

Enrol a second child and receive USD $100 off the final agreed fee of the new enrolment.

• The discount applies to the second and each subsequent sibling enrolled, and is deducted from the total payable on that sibling's Programme.
• The siblings must reside in the same household, and the first sibling's enrolment must be active at the time the second enrols.
• The discount is applied at the time of invoicing and cannot be claimed retrospectively against a Programme already invoiced.
• Where an instalment plan is used, the discount is deducted from the final instalment.
• The sibling discount is not paid out in cash under any circumstances.
• A sibling enrolment is not a referral. You cannot claim the referral reward in Section 2 for enrolling your own child.

We recognise students who move up. Scholarships are awarded at our discretion, on merit, and are applied as a reduction against future fees.

5.1 Rank scholarship

Where an enrolled Student secures 1st or 2nd rank in their school in the subject they are enrolled with us for, they become eligible for a rank scholarship on their next Programme or renewal.

To claim, submit to your Class Manager, within 60 days of the result being published:

• the official school result, report card or merit certificate showing the rank and the subject; and
• the name of the school, the academic year and the examination concerned.

*The Student must have been enrolled with us for at least 50 Sessions in that subject before the examination, and must have maintained at least 90% attendance.

5.2 Performance scholarships

We also award scholarships for sustained progress, outstanding assessment performance, competition results and project work, on the recommendation of the Mentor and Class Manager. These are awarded entirely at our discretion and are not claimable as of right.

5.3 Value and form

Scholarship value is set by us for each award and confirmed to you in writing. Scholarships are applied as a reduction against future fees only. They are not paid in cash, are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for Sessions already consumed or for a refund.

• A referral reward and a sibling discount may be held at the same time, as they arise from different enrolments.
• A sibling discount and a scholarship may both be applied to the same enrolment, but the combined reduction may not exceed 20% of the total fee of that Programme.
• These benefits cannot be combined with any other promotional offer, campaign discount or negotiated rate unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
• No benefit under this policy reduces a Programme fee below our published minimum rate.

If a referred family cancels, is refunded, or terminates their Programme before completing 30 Sessions, and the referral reward has already been paid:

• where the reward was taken as course credit, the credit is withdrawn; or
• where it was paid by bank transfer, the amount is set off against your own next invoice.

Where you receive a refund under Section 14 of the Terms and Conditions, any sibling discount, scholarship or referral credit applied to that Programme is recalculated, and any amount already paid out to you is deducted from the refund.

These benefits exist to thank genuine families for a genuine recommendation. We may withhold, withdraw or reclaim any benefit, and suspend participation, where we reasonably believe there has been:

• a referral of a person who did not consent to being referred, or whose details were obtained without their knowledge;
• use of duplicate, fictitious or self-created accounts, or referral of a member of your own household;
• a referral made after the family had already approached us;
• bulk, automated, spam or paid advertising solicitation using the 2ndRank name;
• misrepresentation of our programmes, pricing, mentors or results to the family you refer; or
• any other attempt to obtain a benefit not genuinely earned.

Our decision on eligibility under this policy is final, and we will give you our reasons in writing.

Only share someone's contact details with their knowledge and agreement. By submitting a referral you confirm that the person knows you are passing their details to us and is happy to be contacted.

We will contact a referred family a reasonable number of times and will stop immediately on request. We use referral details only to make contact about our programmes, we do not sell or pass them on, and we delete them if the family asks us to or does not enrol. We will tell a referred family who introduced them, unless you ask us not to.

We may change this policy at any time. Changes take effect when published on our website. A referral already submitted, a sibling enrolment already invoiced, or a scholarship already confirmed in writing is honoured on the terms that applied at that time.

We may suspend or close the referral programme on 30 days' notice published on our website. Rewards already earned will still be paid.
